BIBLIOGRAPHY (page 17)
Halloween is a holiday celebrated every year on the 31st of October. People celebrate holidays by organising parties, decorating their homes, watching horror movies, going to ghost houses, bonefire, carving Jack Alternate, and even trick or treating. These are just a few of the activities that are available around Halloween these days.
However, just a few nations observe it as a holiday. It is not observed in my own nation of Romania. I'm not sure why it's not a national holiday in my country. I believe the reasonable reason is that everyone in our society has their own ideas about Halloween.
Halloween has the highest level of popularity in North America and Canada. Every year, 65% of Americans decorate their homes, businesses, and offices for Halloween. That proportion included more than simply the holiday season. The majority of sweets is sold around Halloween. And now, Halloween is the second most popular commercial holiday.
These are some countries that celebrated Halloween; Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Czechoslovakia, England, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Latin America, Spain and Sweden. There are different ways to celebrate Halloween.
Everyone likes Halloween because it allows me to be someone else for one day out of the year. It's enjoyable and interesting, especially for children. Halloween has a rich history as well. Many myths and beliefs claim that witches and warlocks are still alive and well. Is this a prank or a genuine treat?
Below we will find out about Halloween’s history and tradition, how kids do trick-or-treat, costumes and house decorations and more.
