Conclusion 17
Throughout history, the food topic was a very controversial one. Food is fundamental. Not only is it necessary to keep us alive, but we eat to celebrate, commiserate and everything in between. It’s no surprise then, that over the past 100 years, since the very first vitamin was isolated and nutritional science was born, that we’ve been investigating how nutrition affects our health and how we can lose weight.
This brings me to the question “Why did you choose this topic?”. I’ve been interested in how nutrition affects our system and our well-being as well. People who have been conditioned to accept diet culture as a normal way of life may have a poor self-image, regularly participate in negative self-talk, and believe that being thin makes a person better than someone who is not. They may also have an all-or-nothing mentality.
Overall, I picked this subject because I want to discover and learn about this topic in more depth as well, and, also, because I think it is not being talked about enough. it by having more knowledge regarding this particular subject.
The following pages are the core of my project: the chapters. The first ones will contain the diet culture in culturs and it wil end with my conclusion. The final pages will include the bibliography and the annexes.
